Full of contrasts is something that descripes the South Coast of Iceland very well. On this private day tour we will visit some of the most popular attractions in all Iceland.
Seljalandsfoss waterfall with his neighbour Gljúfrabúi as well as the Skógafoss waterfall. All so very different from each other.
Sólheimajökull glacier and the glacial lagoon in front and not far from that the Black Sand Beach or Reynisfjara as it is called in Iceland.
And to add to all this the Dyrhólaey nature preserve, the village of Vík and the Yoda Cave.
What a day
The South Coast of Iceland with all its scenery – mixture of mountains, glaciers and black sand beaches with stunning waterfalls. On this private day tour we will visit all the major attractions and add some more which is possible with the flexibility we have on a private tour.
The Black Sand Beach with its black sand as long as you can see – the basalt columns and the amazing lava formations is one of our stops on this South Coast day tour and a stop you will alway remember. Let´s be ready with the camera.
Dyrhólaey or the Door Hill Island is a nature reserve but also amazing viewpoint in good weather over the black coastal line at the South Coast but also with eroded seacliffs and in summer – rich of bird life.
Sólheimajökull glacier has been a research point for glaciologists since the year 1930 and still is. Very different from season to season and sometimes from week to week but is always able to pull out the WOW from the people visiting for the first time.
The Yoda cave is worth the visit even though you dont like Star Wars – to see with your own eyes how the sea has eroded the hills of Hjörleifshöfði and formed the door of the cave is fascinating – the drive on the black sand to the cave is always fun as well.
The village of Vík – the most southernmost village on the mainland of Iceland is charming and our stop – the viewpoint by the church gives us a good overview and direct line of sight to the famous Reynisdrangar seacliffs.
Last but not the least – the waterfalls of the South Coast. Skógafoss waterall – plundering down 60 meters (196 feet) and you can almost touch it at the bottom is a experience that can not be descriped – you just have to try it.
Seljalandsfoss waterfall with his neighbour Gljúfrabúi are so close to eachother but still so very different – you will understand why the latter one is called the hidden waterfall.
This is Iceland so we always recommend that you bring extra layer of clothing, rain jacket, hat and gloves. Hiking paths on this tour are good so light hiking shoes are fine – even off trail running shoes or something similar.
In winter some spots – expecially close to the waterfalls can be slippery so we will provide you with crampons that should fit all types of shoes
All the vehicles we are are new and in excellent conditions. We use LandRover Defender, Toyota Proace Luxury and other similar types.
Our guides are local with load of experince on Icelandic roads.

Lunch stop can be taken on several places and will be discussed on the drive to the South Coast.
