Snæfellsnes peninsula full day tour

The Snæfellsnes peninsula is probably the third most popular day tour in Iceland, yet so many miss out on it. With fewer tourists and covering less crowded places, this tour gives you the chance to see something very different from what you’d see in the Golden Circle and the South Coast, but still so beatiful in this vast and diverse landscape.

A private tour gives you both more personal interaction from your guide but also more flexibility and the possibility to stop on more places than in a group tour on a bus.

Trip Highlights

Overview

When the french author Jules Verne wrote his book “Journey to the center of the Earth” in 1864 he had no idea it would be turned into two Hollywood movies and people from all over the world would travel to see Snæfellsjökull glacier.

But he knew that the glacier was something special as you will experience on this Snæfellsnes private day tour. This very famous volcano has shaped the landscape here for thousand of years making something that can not be described – you have to visit it.

With attractions like Kirkjufell mountain – the very famouse Game of Thrones mountain and the ever amazing Djúpalónssandur beach you are up to a treat for your senses.

Other stops is the crater Saxhóll and have you ever tried to drive into a crater? – be prepared.

The village of Arnarstapi is by many described to be the cutest one in Iceland and the short hike along the coast is more than worth the experience.

And there is more – Búðir black church and Ytri Tunga seal colony and if we are doing this tour in spring, summer and autumn we will add a stop at the Rauðfeldsgjá canyon.

Book this tour and be prepared for a adventure on Snæfellsnes peninsula – did we forget to tell you that Snæfellsnes glacier is believed to be one of the energy centers of the world?
