The two most popular daytours in Iceland for decades combined in to one – magnificent nature, tectonic plates, erupting hot spring, three breathtaking waterfalls, glacier view, black sand beaches – this tour has it all and is the perfect choice for those who want to see more of Iceland which can be done in summer when we have 24 hour daylight.
Þingvellir National Park our first stop with its breathtaking nature and of course a Games of Thrones site – you might recognise some parts of The Wall. To walk down the Almannagjá tectonic rift looking upp the wall – seeing how nature just takes its course no matter what is a experience you don’t want to miss.
Geysir geothermal area has been active for a long time and Strokkur, the erupting hot spring is of course the main attraction erupting every few minutes up in to the air.
Gullfoss or the Golden waterfall as it can be translated is by many said to be the most beatiful waterfall in Iceland and we have many to choose from. You have to be the judge of that after visiting on this Golden Circle and South Coast daytour.
Friðheimar greenhouse, restaurant, tomato farm and horse farm is a ideal stop for lunch on our way from the Golden Circle to the South Coast. The tomato soup with bread is the obvious choice and for drinks…well…tomato beer or on of the many Mary’s available at the bar.
Seljalandsfoss waterfall and Skógarfoss waterfall will be our first stops at the South Coast of Iceland followed by the Black Sand Beach which is so much more than just a beach as you will find out.
This is Iceland so we always recommend that you bring extra layer of clothing, rain jacket, hat and gloves. Hiking paths on this tour are very good so lighter hiking booths are fine – even good sneakers or off trail running shoes.
In winter some spots can be slippery or icy so we provide crampons that will fit on any shoes.
All the vehicles we use are new and in excellent condition like LandRover Defender or Toyota Proace Luxury.
Our guides are local with load of experience on Icelandic roads.
No meals are included on this tour. Lunch stop will be at Friðheimar tomato farm where you can choose from the menu at the bar – tomato soup would be to obvious choice
Safety is our thing – the headguide has been a professional Search & Rescue member for 12 years and a volunteer for more than 35 years leading more icelandic projects than anyone in safety in tourism.
We keep our guides well trained and our passengers safe – there is no other option.
